HALIFAX.' and scroll engraved at the breech-end, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, carved percussion fences, faceted hammers with linked strikers, grip safety (not functioning), fine acanthus scrollwork surrounding scenes of pheasant on the left, hounds on the right, the (dented) triggerguard engraved with a hound, brushed bright finish, 14 1/8in. figured stock with steel heel and toe plates, escutcheon at the head inscribed 'JG', weight 7lb. 2oz., in a damaged leather case
