mid 19th century with lightly curved 9in watered steel blade with medial ridge, walrus ivory hilt of classic form (some age cracking and staining, one small filled repair) together with its relief embossed silver scabbard profusely decorated with martial trophies, traces of gilding and reeded borders, finely silver wire-wound tip with ovoid finial.
