circa 1780 with top-sprung bayonet (cleaned), 14 1/2in three-stage barrel with flared ring-turned muzzle, engraved 'LONDON' on the top-flat, 'Ketland' private proofs to breech, bayonet released with a catch on the top-tang, the unsigned later lock with foliate engraving to the tail, roller frizzen (pitted and cleaned), full stock with skip-chequered wrist, brass furniture, horn capped wood ramrod with steel worm (wood-work with repaired cracks, brass-work heavily polished, side nail escutcheons later replacement).
