A RARE 13-BORE TAKE-DOWN 'POACHERS' PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN
early Victorian, with round, tapering two-part 32 1/4in barrel (divides on a thread 14 1/2in from the breech), back-action border-lined lock with scroll engraving, flat-sided dolphin hammer (nipple broken off), short figured walnut quarter-stock with full length scroll engraved top-tang, iron folding skeleton butt with release catch on bottom tang, nose plate with quick release barrel catch, the whole dismantling into three sections for stowage (iron parts discoloured and stained, wood with some age cracking).
