28in. nitro chopperlump barrels, rib gold-inlaid 'JOHN WILKES' and engraved '79, BEAK STREET, LONDON, W.1.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, Holland & Holland style self-opening system, gold-inlaid cocking indicators, rolled-edge triggerguard, best bouquet and scroll engraving, the makers name gold-inlaid on the lockplates and the underside, retaining virtually full original colour-hardening and some finish, 15 7/8in. highly-figured replacement stock including 3/4in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 7lb. 1oz., in its lightweight leather case, together with its original approx. 14in. highly-figured stock. The gun was completed circa 1992
