circa 1800, with a wide fullered 35in hatchet point blade (stained, patches of light pitting), iron stirrup knuckle-guard engraved 'D7G' above a letter 'D' surmounting the number '43', flat circular, pierced crossguard (langets removed), heavy curved, eared back-strap and ribbed leather covered wooden grip (some worming, mild corrosion to guard)
