A VICTORIAN BOWIE KNIFE WITH SHEATH
circa 1870, with 9in clip-point blade, the ricasso marked 'J. RODGERS & SONS, 8 NORFOLK ST. SHEFFIELD ENGLAND', the reverse stamped with an 'asterisk' and 'Maltese cross' trade mark (patches of pitting and staining), no cross-guard, the hilt with staghorn scales attached by five iron pins, ovoid white metal escutcheon to left hand side, TOGETHER WITH its original nickel mounted leather sheath (old crease and shrinkage, belt loop missing)
