THREE 1845/1854 PATTERN BRITISH INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORDS
the first for a General Officer circa 1860 signed 'RANKIN & CO, CALCUTTA', with 32 1/4in single fullered blade (worn), silver-plated brass hilt with 'General officer' cartouche and wood grip (losses, missing covering), the second of similar date with shortened 29in quill-point blade (cleaned and corroded), inspectors marks at forte, brass hilt with Queen Victoria cypher (worn throughout), the last of correct form with 32 1/2in quill-point blade (stained, patches of pitting), brass hilt with George IV cypher (appears correct), worn overall, all minus scabbards
