A RARE WOOD-HANDLED 'FAIRBAIRN-SYKES' COMMANDO KNIFE
circa 1944, with 6 5/8in (slightly shortened and re-profiled) blackened double-edged stiletto blade signed 'JOHN BLYDE, CLINTOCK WORKS, SHEFFIELD' (feint) together with a 'ringed-planet' trademark, wooden hilt, swollen to the center with eight grooves and countersunk nut to pommel (split near cross-guard), TOGETHER WITH its original leather sheath in distressed condition.
