circa WW2, the first with 6 1/2in blued blade (slightly shortened and re-profiled), etched at the forte with a floral bordered shield containing the makers details and the 'crossed swords' makers mark, ovate cross-guard and ringed, blackened bronze hilt with small rounded pommel nut (hilt and guard slightly loose on tang) TOGETHER WITH an unsigned example of original length and similar form, larger guard and pommel nut and marked with a 'broad arrow' and the number '2', the first only with scabbard
