LONDON. .300', carved teardrop fences, manual lever safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker disc, border and fine acanthus scroll engraving, 14 5/8in. figured pistolgrip stock with engraved steel pistolgrip-cap, retaining some colour-hardening and traces of finish, weight 5lb. 2oz., in its lightweight canvas case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was completed 1893 for a W.P. Rylands, Esq. as an 'E' quality .300 rook rifle.
