A .700 CAL PERCUSSION PRISON OFFICERS CARBINE WITH SPRUNG BAYONET
circa 1840, with round iron 16in barrel with full length triangular section bayonet, release catch to the tang, plain border lined lock inscribed 'BIRMINGHAM BOROUGH GOAL, pale military style walnut full-stock with large 'broad arrow' stamp to left hand side, brass furniture and iron rammer (some corrosion and discolouration mainly to barrel, woodwork lightly bruised)
