for 1863, with 8in round, sighted barrel signed 'ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA', cylinder with traces of naval scene, iron frame marked 'COLT'S PATENT', brass trigger guard marked '.36 CAL' and iron backstrap, the whole discoloured and stained with loss of finish.
