A .577 SNIDER'S PATENT MKIII 2-BAND SERVICE RIFLE,
dated for 1869, with 30 1/2in three groove rifled, sighted barrel marked 'STEEL', number 'III' on receiver bridge, roll-open breech (locking catch missing), walnut unchequered full-stock stamped 'DG' in a diamond, 'MGA' and '251' on the left hand side and the 'Enfield' mark on the right, steel furniture, brass replacement ramrod (light bruising to metalwork and stock, some discolouration throughout)
