26in. nitro barrel with block-mounted bead fore-sight, rear-sight of one standing and two folding leaves, calibrated up to 300 yards and with platinum-inlaid centre-lines, receiver ring engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER. 151 NEW BOND ST. LONDON', the sidewall marked 'STEYR 1897', the rear of the bolt fitted with a flip-up peep sight, 14in. figured semi-pistolgrip stock with steel buttplate, sling swivels, in its full-length leather rifle case marked 'A.E. ORR EWING. BALLIKINRAIN CASTLE. BALFRON.'
