A FINE PRESENTATION CASED .455 (CF) SIX-SHOT NICKEL-PLATED DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER RETAILED BY ARMY & NAVY, MODEL 'No. 1 NEW MODEL', serial no. 4732,
circa 1880, with 4 1/2in. ovoid barrel, crescent foresight, grooved notch rearsight, top strap stamped 'ARMY & NAVY C.S.L.', side of frame marked 'WEBLEY'S RIC No 1 .455 CF NEW MODEL' together with the 'winged bullet' logo, swing-out ejector rod, fluted cylinder, walnut chequered grip with butt cap and lanyard ring (pistol remaining in fine condition with only small abrasions and losses to finish), TOGETHER WITH an oak blue baize lined case, fitted and compartmented in the English manner, with provision for 18 rounds and various accessories (missing), the lid inlaid with a brass rectangular plaque engraved 'PRESENTED TO THE VICTORIA RIFLE CLUB FOR COMPETITION BY W. CARDEN ROE. WON BY CHARLES R. HEARN 1883', twin hook closure with central lock (key present)
