circa 1790, with 26in tapering, sighted octagonal barrel, the last 4in rounded to take a socket bayonet (locking stud fitted), standing rearsight with one folding leaf, top-flat with illegible makers signature, engraved breech end and tang (rubbed), gold vent, slightly curved, bevelled edge lock with stepped tail, border-line engraved and signed ' IN WEIN', fancy carved continental style walnut full-stock (excluding bayonet portion of barrel), finely chequered at the wrist, sliding wooden trap to right hand side of stock, butt carved in imitation of heel-plate, raised, fancy carved cheek-piece on left hand side, swags and feathers carved around top-tang, large silver oval escutcheon to top of wrist, horn forend tip (trigger guard, ramrod thimbles, swivels and ramrod missing, stock dirty with minor losses, barrel re-blued)
