circa 1855, with blued 3in octagonal barrel (front sight missing), top-strap signed 'MANUFD. BY C.D. DULY & LEGALLY LICENCED' hinged side rammer, blued, scroll engraved and line bordered frame marked 'ADAM'S PATENT 1851' and the makers mark of a crown over 'CD', unfluted cylinder with rope-bordered leading edge, external hammer safety spring, one-piece finely chequered walnut grip and shell-carved butt-cap, the whole retaining a good percentage of original finish, Belgian proofs
