A FINE 17TH CENTURY TURKISH KHANJAR WITH SILVER-MOUNTED SCABBARD,
circa 1680, with finely watered 6 1/4in. slightly curved blade, relief engraved inscriptions to both sides of the blade at the forte surrounded by further relief engraved devices, the background filled with gilt inlay (losses), substantial marine ivory hilt carved with longitudinal flutes and a central raised band (darkly stained, age cracks), TOGETHER WITH a later 19th century silver scabbard embossed with floral panels, beaded seams and a bulbous chape
