for 1871, with 4 1/2in. blued, sighted octagonal barrel, the top flat engraved 'R. S. GARDEN. PICCADILLY. LONDON' (rubbed), the right hand side of barrel engraved with the initials 'J.B.S.', border-line engraved frame marked 'TRANTER'S PATENT' in an oval, swiveling ejector rod marked 'PATENT' stored on right hand side, plain blued cylinder with rope band to front, one piece chequered walnut grip, iron butt-cap with lanyard ring, the whole being an old refinish with discolouration to frame.
