circa 1870, with 6in. octagonal blued barrel, crescent fore-sight, top-strap with sighting groove signed 'G.H. DAW, 57, THREADNEEDLE ST, LONDON', solid frame with sprung catch to release cylinder arbor, compound hinged ejector-rod mounted on right hand side of frame and barrel, plain ratchet notched cylinder, downward hinged gate, one-piece chequered walnut grip (small chip at web), steel butt-cap with lanyard ring swivel (the whole retaining a fair proportion of original finish, missing small piece from top of hammer)
