LONDON' John Adam's oval trade mark and logo to frame together with 'ADAMS'S PATENT', plain long cylinder, possible replacement sliding ejector-rod on right hand side of frame, lift-up loading gate, chequered walnut grips and butt-cap with lanyard ring (missing), retaining the majority of its original finish throughout (action at fault, missing one frame screw with another damaged)
Provenance: The John Adams revolver was the official sidearm of the British Army until replaced by the Enfield MkI revolver in 1880, this model is usually encountered in five-shot.
