circa 1878, with blued octagonal barrel, polished chamfered muzzle, the grooved top-strap signed 'C. H. GILKS & CO. TOWER HILL LONDON', plain blued cylinder with 'ratchet notch' locking, 'half cock' locking spring mounted to left hand side of frame, 'Webley & Scott' winged bullet logo to both sides of frame, coarse chequered walnut grips, ejector rod screwed into grip-cap, the whole in fine condition, possibly being an early commercial re-finish
