Provenance: We are kindly informed by the makers that this pair of shotguns were completed June 1999.

Simon Coggan was born in Fochriw, Wales in 1970. Initially he was involved in the electronics industry until 1992 when he began an apprenticeship with his father, Philip. Like his father, he clearly had a natural ability and became an expert engraver working under his own name in 1994. His work is to be found on the actions of several makers of best guns and rifles, although he is now most closely associated with J. Purdey & Sons and Holland & Holland.
