30in. black powder only damascus barrels, rib engraved 'J. PURDEY. 314 1/2 OXFORD STREET. LONDON.', and '2', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, Purdey patent thumbhole underlever, patent no. 1104 of 1863, carved percussion fences, rebounding floating back-action locks with dolphin hammers, fine acanthus scroll engraving, brushed bright finish overall, 14 1/4in. highly-figured stock including 1/2in. ebonite extension, crosspin release fore-end, weight 6lb. 15oz.
