circa 1865, with 4 1/4in. round barrel, the top-strap signed 'PARKER, FIELD & SONS, HOLBORN, LONDON, the breech marked 'WEBLEY'S PATENT', plain cylinder with ratchet notch locking, plain frame with hinged loading gate on the right hand side and a compound link rammer-ejector mounted alongside the barrel, chequered walnut grips with iron butt-cap (slight traces of finish throughout) TOGETHER WITH its original oak compartmented pistol case lined in maroon velvet (faded), trade label for the maker at '233 HOLBORN & MANSELL ST, MINORIES, LONDON', retaining a period cleaning rod, lidded compartment for ammunition, brass circular escutcheon to lid and lock to front (no key)
