A .22(LONG) SINGLE-SHOT BREAK-BARREL SPORTING RIFLE, MODEL 'TELL 22', serial no. 209726,
circa 1900, with blued 24 1/2in. barrel, block and blade front-sight, single folding leaf rear sight with additional fixed blade, the barrel signed 'J. P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL', the breech marked 'TELL 22 R?' the remainder being obscured by later fittings for claw mounts, border-lined receiver wing-nut safety on the tang, figured walnut chequered pistol-grip stock with horn heel-plate, raised tear-drop cheek-piece, under-lever cocking, double set triggers, splinter forend and sling swivels, much finish remaining (bottom tang and forend screws replaced)
