circa 1887 to Schlund's patent, 6in barrel with sighting rib signed 'KYNOCH GUN FACTORY ASTON', the top-strap signed 'PATENT MODEL', wire holster-guides (possibly later), plain hinged frame marked 'CAL 476', sliding barrel release to rear, fluted cylinder, one-piece chequered walnut grip (small loss to left hand side), butt-cap with lanyard ring and large over-sized trigger-guard with twin triggers and de-cock device (external surfaces worn and stripped of finish) TOGETHER WITH its period leather holster (poor condition, stitching undone)
