A 6-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-BARRELLED LIVE PIGEON GUN, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
circa 1860, with re-browned 31 1/4in. round twist-steel barrel, scroll engraved stepped breech and tang, border-line and scroll engraved bar-action lock, scroll engraved hammer carved in the form of a 'dog's' head, chequered walnut half-stock (cracked forward of side-nail and behind lock-plate), iron heel-plate, spurred trigger-guard tang, scroll engraving to the bow, horn 'tulip' forend tip with no provision for rammer (furniture and lock-plate stained and lightly worn)
