loading Snap Guns."
b) Assignment of Patent 4809 on 7 December 1880 by Horatio Frederick Phillips, gunmaker and John Robertson, gunmaker to Stephen Grant for £30.
c) On Vellum, Letters Patent No 2101 in the name of Samuel Arthur Grant and William Adams in the 46th year of Queen Victoria's reign for "improvements in break- down snap guns." Samuel Arthur Grant was Stephen Grant's third son who died in 1889 from meningitis. After his death the firm became Stephen Grant & Sons. original letters Patent No 5139 in the name of Stephen Grant junior of 67a St. James' Street dated 09/03/1893 for "Improvements in break-down sporting guns". Stephen Grant junior was Stephen Grant's oldest son.
