circa 1886, with sighted 32 1/2in. barrel, dovetailed blade fore-sight, double-ladder elevating rear-sight, the bolt-action receiver marked 'OE W F G STEYR 1886' together with a crown device over 'L I.o' and 'M1886', brushed bright bolt with straight handle, flag safety, walnut military-style straight-hand stock, (some settling cracks) with iron furniture, the nose-band fitted with bayonet lug and side-mounted cleaning rod (broken)
