for 1916, with 4 3/8in. barrel, blued sighted slide signed 'COLTS PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA' and the patent dates 'PATENTED APR 20 1897, SEPT 9 1902', the right hand side stamped with the calibre designation, blued frame, chequered hard-rubber grips with the 'Colt' logo's and lanyard ring to base, much original finish remaining, TOGETHER WITH a period leather holster marked 'HORTON, BUCHANAN ST, GLASGOW' for the same pistol and suitable for use with a 'Sam Browne' service belt (leather lightly marked)
