probably from Bukhara in Uzbekistan, mid 19th century, the egg-shaped head formed from veined marble with silver mounts, the shaft with wide silver bands top and bottom, decorated with embossed geometric patterns, the central portion with a velvet grip (faded) with iron reinforcing bars, silver suspension ring to pommel (some dents and discolouration throughout), approximately 21 1/2in. overall
