Belgian, conversion from flintlock circa 1845, with nickel-plated 40 1/2in. barrel (bore obstructed, possibly for parade use), notch rear-sight, nickel plated lockplate stamped 'HBM' (mainspring broken), walnut three-quarter stock inlet for sight on comb, nickel plated furniture, two nickel-plated barrel bands, (missing nose-cap and ramrod, plating fading with losses)
