circa 1870, with blued 36 1/2in. sighted barrel, ladder rear-sight, the breech-end stamped 'STEEL' and 'L.A.C.', 3-groove rifling, swing open breech-block with sprung locking catch signed 'JAS. KERR & CO, 54 KING WILLIAM ST E.C.' together with 'L.A.C.' and a large number '3', flat colour-hardened lockplate signed as the breech with a crown over 'V.R.' cypher to the tail, plain military-style walnut three-quarter stock with brass furniture, three iron barrel bands and iron clearing rod, good condition with much finish
