A LARGE BOWIE-KNIFE WITH RHINOCEROS-HORN HILT SIGNED G.WOSTENHOLM & SON, SHEFFIELD,
made from late Victorian components possibly by F. James, with 9 3/4in. clip-point blade false edged for the majority of its length, etched in a rectangular panel on the left hand side of the blade 'G WOSTENHOLM & SON, WASHINGTON WORKS, SHEFFIELD', also etched 'I:XL' at the ricasso, solid tang, plain brass cross-guard, smooth rhinoceros hilt scales held by five pins TOGETHER WITH an amateur produced tooled leather scabbard and a letter from the Natural History Museum identifying the grip-scale material
