28in. black powder only barrel with block mounted open sights and folding leaf sight, block mounted bead fore-sight, Henry patent rifling, front bolted right side lock, block with light damage around firing pin, best fine acanthus scroll engraving, retaining some original colour-hardening, 14 3/8in. well-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, horn pistolgrip-cap (damaged) and engraved steel heel and toe plates, fore-end with chequered rounded tip and grip-catch release, weight 7lb. 12oz.
