for the first year of production,1853, with 5in. blued octagonal, sighted barrel signed 'ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON', cylinder with stage coach scene (faint) and also stamped '2', plain colour-hardened frame (faded), silver-plated brass grip-strap and trigger-guard, varnished one-piece walnut grips, colour-hardened under-barrel rammer, and matching numbers throughout, the whole retaining a good proportion of original finish
