dated for 1884, with 33 1/2in. blued, sighted barrel, sold out of service marks at breech, plain receiver stamped 'ENFIELD' over '1884' over 'III' over 'I', the whole surmounted with a 'V.R.' crown cypher, military style three-quarter stock and fore-end, the butt stamped with various inspectors marks, iron furniture, two barrel bands, the front with bayonet bar and original iron clearing rod and a reproduction leather sling; TOGETHER WITH a period socket bayonet, no scabbard
