circa 1939, with exposed, blued 3 1/4in. barrel, crescent fore-sight, dove-tailed notch rear-sight, the left hand side of slide signed 'MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF A.N.', the right hand side marked 'CAL 7,65 D.R.P.u.A.P.', blued frame with Mauser trade mark and the German Kriegsmarine mark of a stylised eagle over the letter 'M', the front grip-strap stamped 'O.1862', chequered walnut one-piece grip, much original (faded) finish throughout
