for 1858, no.2 of a pair, with 30 1/4in. brushed bright barrels, the top-rib incorrectly re-engraved 'T BOSS, 41 ALBERMARLE STREET, PICCADILLY LONDON', bead fore-sight, scroll engraved breech-end, platinum line and plugs, fully scroll-engraved broad top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar-action locks with scroll engraved dolphin hammers, figured chequered walnut half-stock with carved tear-drops behind the locks, scroll engraved iron re-blacked heel-plate numbered '2' on the spur, silver oval behind trigger-guard tang, border and scroll engraved re-blacked trigger-guard bow, engraved finials, missing ramrod, TOGETHER WITH a later amateur-produced pine storage box, compartmented and lined in green baize and containing some period accessories including a leather bodied shot flask, adjustable powder measure, powder funnel, spring clamp and a later 'W. W. GREENER' oil bottle
