ELE'? together with various inspectors marks, the plain socket engraved 'N' over 'C=56', the second, later, probably for an 1839 Pattern and signed 'JOHN ROE', the socket stamped '66', the throat with built in stop, the last for a Martini Henry rifle, all with their original brass mounted leather scabbards
