circa 1908, with 19 1/4in. tapering barrel, barleycorn fore-sight, rear-sight with elevating blade, plain air chamber stamped 'H. THE LINCOLN AIR RIFLE. PATENT, MANUFACTURED BY THE BSA CO LD BIRMINGHAM', chequered full pistol-grip with saw-back, butt-stock with iron heel-plate, the left hand side of butt stamped 'H. WILLIAMS' (twice), the right hand side stamped 'REGISTERED LINCOLN JEFFERIES, 121 STEELHOUSE LANE, BIRMINGHAM' and 'REGD TRADE MARK' beneath a standing figure of a male shooter, cast trigger-guard with full tang and 'spade' cocking-lever with chequered grip-piece (traces of finish throughout)
