circa 1912, with octagonal 16 3/4in. rifled barrel, the top-flat marked 'THE ANSONIA, RIFLED BARREL', barleycorn fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight (elevator screw missing), cast air-chamber with hinged barrel catch on the left-hand side marked 'ANSON'S BOLT ACTION', trigger unit stamped 'THE ANSONIA' on both sides, re-chequered half-pistol grip butt-stock (cracked and repaired at wrist) stamped 'E. ANSON & CO 14 STEELHOUSE LANE BIRM.' on the left-hand side, iron heel-plate and exposed cocking link (worn throughout, some surface pitting and replacement screws)
