of 'Adams' style, circa 1860, with octagonal 6in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle with scroll-work, dove-tailed fore-sight, scroll and shell engraving to breech and top-strap, plain cylinder with scroll engraving and bordered front edge, border and scroll engraved frame, blued hammer, finely chequered walnut grip, scroll, shell and border engraved butt-cap, scroll engraved trigger-guard, side-mounted loading lever (traces of fine blue) TOGETHER WITH a fitted mahogany case, compartmented and lined in blue baize, containing a period bag shaped flask, bullet mould and turnscrew (some flaking to the plating and loss of finish on the revolver, the case interior lightly distressed)
