circa 1850, with slightly shortened 37 1/4in. twist-steel barrels (ribs recently re-laid with subsequent loss to finish), bead fore-sight, hooked breech with plain top-tang, plain bar-action locks signed 'WILLIAM MOORE & CO', walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, yellow-nickel furniture, twin take-down wedges and possible original brass-mounted ramrod
