Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use number 1389, detachable triggerplate, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, A.E. Lard patent selective single trigger, patent no. 3952 of 22nd February 1899, use number 1026, selector switch with gold-inlaid 'L' and 'R' details, best acanthus scroll engraving, the triggerguard with a pointer, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 15 5/8in. figured replacement stock, fore-end (stiff to remove) with Deeley & Edge patent release catch and matching replacement wood, weight 6lb. 14oz.
