28in. replacement nitro barrels (circa 1974), rib engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS. 178 NEW BOND ST. LONDON. GUNMAKERS BY SPECIAL APPOINTMENT TO HIS MAJESTY KING EDWARD (VII).' and '2', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, treble-grip scroll-back action incorporating J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use number 238, detachable triggerplate, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, 'Westley Richards Patent One Trigger (A.E. Lard patent) selective single trigger, patent no. 3952 of 22nd February 1899, selector switch with gold-inlaid 'L' and 'R' details, best acanthus scroll engraving, the triggerguard with a pointer, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 15 1/2in. figured stock including 2 1/2in. wooden extension, fore-end with Deeley & Edge patent release catch (possibly re-profiled), weight 6lb. 14oz.
