A SCARCE .177 BREAK-BARREL AIR PISTOL, MODEL 'THE LINCOLN AIR PISTOL', serial no. 749,
circa 1925, with 9in. rifled barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, notch rear-sight, the top-flat of breech stamped 'THE LINCOLN AIR PISTOL' and the right hand side 'BEST ENGLISH MAKE', steeply slanted air-chamber forming the grip, side-bar barrel release, the cocking link forming the trigger-guard (take-down screw at front missing), web of grip marked 'PATT No. 18275' and the serial number, the whole painted black in antiquity, now stained
