for 1962, with 6in. sighted barrel, the left hand side signed 'SMITH & WESSON, the right marked '.38 S&W CTG', patridge-style fore-sight, adjustable rear-sight, fluted cylinder, target hammer, grooved trigger, fitted with an after-market 'Bowler' style anatomical right-handed grip, much original finish with some isolated pitting patches to barrel and cylinder

Provenance: This is one of only six revolvers especially made by Smith & Wesson, and chambered for the British .38-200 service cartridge as opposed to the usual .38 Special round. These revolvers were purchased by the British Pistol Club members for the Commonwealth Games of 1962
